Who handles your information
Genis Labs Pty Ltd operates Prepare for and is the contact for questions about this notice. Email support@preparefor.app about privacy, access, correction, deletion or a complaint.
Local plans and connected accounts
You can use bundled guides and household checklists without a connected account. Local quantities, expiry dates, notes, maps and downloaded guides are saved on your device. Anonymous registration creates a random account identifier. If you choose Apple or Google sign-in, the service uses the provider and its account subject to identify your connected account.
Household records and regional alerts
When you enable sync, household checklist and inventory records are sent to our Cloudflare API. For regional notifications, your device encodes its location to a five-character geohash and sends that coarse region with an FCM registration token. Precise device coordinates are not sent to our API. A geohash still reveals an approximate area; it is not anonymous information.
How information is used
We use the information you provide to save and sync your household plan, deliver selected regional notifications, respond to inquiries, and protect the service from misuse. We do not sell your household records or use them for targeted advertising. Keep identity documents, detailed medical records and financial credentials in a separate protected store rather than checklist notes.
Service providers
Cloudflare supplies application hosting, database and object storage, queueing, security, Turnstile verification and contact-email dispatch. Google Firebase Cloud Messaging is used as notification transport, and Apple delivers iOS notifications through its push service. Optional Apple and Google sign-in use those providers. Website fonts may be delivered by Google Fonts. These providers can receive network information such as IP addresses while supplying their services.
Contact correspondence
The contact form collects your name, email address, subject and message. Turnstile verifies the request, then our Email Worker routes the inquiry to the Genis support mailbox with your address as Reply-To. We use correspondence to respond and handle related follow-up or complaints.
Retention and deletion
Local records remain until removed from the device or the app's storage. Connected household records and device subscriptions remain until deleted. Access tokens expire after 15 minutes; refresh sessions expire after 30 days unless renewed. When an account is deleted, its primary synced records and subscriptions are removed. Limited security records, caches or backups can remain until their retention cycles expire or where retention is legally required. We keep support correspondence while needed to handle the inquiry and related recordkeeping, and review it for deletion or de-identification when no longer needed.
Overseas processing
Our providers operate international infrastructure. Information can be processed outside Australia, including in the United States and other countries where Cloudflare, Google or Apple operate. This service does not promise that all processing or storage stays in Australia.
Your choices and requests
You can disable notifications in device settings, remove downloaded maps, and delete a connected account from the app. Contact support@preparefor.app to request access or correction, ask about deletion, or raise a complaint. We may need to verify that a request concerns your account. We respond within a reasonable period, subject to applicable law. If a privacy concern remains unresolved, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
